We were able to take full advantage of some help with planting on Cornish Hill just before the season drew to a close. A group of DSC students who take part in a Hands on Learning program planted another 50+ trees and shrubs and also learnt how to propagate seeds and cuttings. None of this could take place without the extraordinary help from our volunteers Anthony Jowett, Jan Thompson, Andrew Percy Sam Pearson, Ivon Watt, Rotary member Colin Metcalfe, and the able and affable Tania Dunn from DSC. Our aim is to welcome the same students back towards the end of the year when we hope to be planting out the cuttings and seedlings propagated at this session. Thanks to all those who took part and to whoever ordered the weather! Sunny in more ways than one!
